$69,000 raised for children and families
On behalf of the hundreds of children and families we we help each year in New Zealand, Ronald McDonald House Charities wish to thank McDonald's, its owner operators, staff and customers for a successful World Childrens Day celebration.
World Children's Day at McDonald's raises funds and generates awareness for the programmes the Charity develops and help supports. For the entire month of November, all McDonald's restaurants customers were able to support our charity by purchasing a wristband.
"We were blown away to receive a cheque from McDonalds for $69,101.85" says Sarah Hood, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities NZ. The money is gratefully received and will be used to help support our programmes in 2007.
A special thank you to the Christchurch restaurants and Auckland Airport Departures. Between them these restaurants moved more than 90 boxes of wristbands, raising over $10,000 collectively.
