Ronald McDonald House Charities relies on community support and the generosity of our major supporter McDonald's, to operate our programmes. As well as our individual supporters, it's the contributions and goodwill of corporate partners like the ones listed below that make it possible for us to achieve our goals in helping New Zealand's children and their families. Thanks to the support we receive from McDonald’s New Zealand all our administration costs are covered, so 100% of your donation goes directly towards the programmes we support.
Next time you stay at any of the six Rydges Hotels around New Zealand you'll find Ronald McDonald House Charities' brightly coloured donation boxes on the counters, as well as the colourful bowls of ducks waiting to be ‘adopted’ by a loving family. Proceeds from the sale of the ducks also comes to us.
Rydges also generously provide 50 free nights a year for our needs. These can be used by our staff, trustees or house managers who need to travel, saving the charity a lot of money.
As if that wasn't enough, Rydges Hotels are also introducing an elective round up system. Guests can elect to round-up their bill and donate the difference to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
"It's for the kids and their families," says Rydges area general manager New Zealand, Steve Kirkpatrick. "We want to help children as much as possible and charity is a great way to do that."
There are Rydges Hotels in Auckland, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Hamilton, Christchurch and Queenstown.
Ronald McDonald House Charities welcomes SmileCity and it's members to our family.
SmileCity is New Zealand#1 Online Rewards Programme, with over 125,000 members to date.

McDonald's restaurants have a history of giving back to the communities
in which they operate. In addition to their leadership in establishing
the Ronald McDonald Houses in New Zealand, they provide fundraising
partnerships in their restaurants, help sponsor our special events and
lend resources and expertise to help us accomplish our mission.
McDonald's owner operators and staff are also tireless volunteers and
fundraisers for their local Ronald McDonald Houses.
